News: Jónsi close to finishing score to new Cameron Crowe movie

American director Cameron Crowe posted a picture on Twitter (included below) showing Sigur Rós frontman Jónsi Birgisson putting the finishing touches on the score to the new movie ‘We Bought A Zoo’.

As it turned out, having the spirit and aural visions of the Icelandic geniuses was most beneficial: “It was a music-filled experience.” Crowe said. “Matt Damon loves Sigur Rós. We played some of the music on his first day on set, and he said, ‘Keep it coming man, keep it coming.'”

The film – which features, among others and besides Damon, Scarlett Johansson, Elle Fanning, Thomas Haden Church and Patrick Fugit – which is about a father who moves his young family to the countryside to renovate and re-open a struggling zoo, is set for release on december 23rd.

Below is the aforementioned photo, an official poster for the movie and a trailer.
