News: Halleluja: Sigur Rós definitely working on new album

Icelandic band of geniuses Sigur Rós have told The Wall Street Journal that their long-awaited new album will hit our eardrums possibly in spring and described the album as “introverted,” “floaty and minimal,” “ambient,” and “a slow takeoff toward something.”

It has been said that the band had already had a complete album but trashed it because they didn’t find it satisfying enough. Now it seems that this little writer’s block has gone away and the band, after numerous side projects – including frontman Jónsi’s solo album (‘Go’) and scoring work for Cameron Crowe’s new movie ‘We Bought A Zoo’ and Sigur Rós’s live album ‘INNI’ -, will continue its way forward.

In the meantime, watch ‘Festival’ from ‘Inni’ and wait for the review coming really soon.
